By walking its streets over a decade and observing the shifts in architecture, commerce, and community, the work explores how gentrification unfolds in Tokyo—and how it parallels, diverges from, and subtly echoes the changes seen in New York.

A character-driven pilgrimage narrative following a Catholic priest and his disciple as they travel through Christian heritage sites in Nagasaki. Their journey moves between two historical axes—Japan’s era of Christian prohibition and the devastation of the atomic bombing—ultimately leading them to the islands of Gotō, home of the Hidden Christians.
